In Cavallermaggiore, in the province of Cuneo, the Camisassi family runs a major livestock farm with enthusiasm and dedication: the La Gaia Farm. Led by father Renzo alongside his children Francesco, Valentina and Federico, and with the smile of little Beatrice, the farm stands as a concrete example of passion passed down from generation to generation.

The new dairy cow barn currently under construction will be a state-of-the-art facility:

• A three-hinged arch with a 39-metre span
• A total area of 4,350 square metres
• 230 comfortable cubicles designed for the animals’ welfare
• A dedicated milking parlour, integrated into the new building

An expansion that brings the total herd to around 550 head, including 250 lactating cows.

Alongside their livestock farming, the family has also believed in and invested in renewable energy: the first 150 kW biogas plant, originally built with Rota Guido, has recently been expanded to 250 kW, confirming the farm’s sustainable and integrated management approach.

Following the first cattle shed and the barn, the new facility now forms a further part of the La Gaia livestock centre, designed to combine animal welfare, production efficiency and renewable energy.

A journey that demonstrates how tradition and innovation can coexist, creating value not only for the farm, but for the entire local area.
