Water always available: the foundation for healthy growth
Calves need to consume 4 litres of water for every kilogram of feed they eat: a constant supply of water promotes ruminal fermentation, improves the intake of weaning feed and contributes to better growth.
Watering in Individual box
Water is provided via fixed or tilting troughs, each fitted with a water heating system to ensure the animals’ well-being and comfort in all seasons.
Various fittings are available for individual pens:
- Tilting bucket holder with hot-dip galvanised steel ring and swivel attachment
- Plastic bucket for milk feeding
- Bucket with teats for more natural feeding
Watering in Group Box
Both Rota Guido solutions feature a dedicated water trough for calf hydration. Here are the common features
- Water trough included
- Integrated protection to ensure safety and hygiene
- Positioned inside the pen for easy access during all stages of weaning
- Suitable for group rearing
- Compatible with water heating systems, to be integrated on request to ensure a constant temperature in all seasons
