In Mulazzano (LO), an existing biogas plant has been converted into a modern biomethane production plant with a capacity of 250 Sm³/h, making the most of the existing infrastructure and increasing its efficiency.

The main works carried out include:

• Construction of a new primary digester, Ø26 m, h 8 m
• Installation of a hopper for solid feedstock with a positive displacement pump
• Emptying and cleaning of the existing tanks
• Reconstruction of the internal heating system within the digesters
• Replacement of the gasometer domes with double-membrane models
• Upgrading of the mixers with Rotamix spare parts

Thanks to these measures, the plant – which runs mainly on cattle manure – is now ready to produce renewable energy in the form of biomethane, making a tangible contribution to the energy transition and the sustainability of the agricultural sector.
